Alan Rockefeller and Mandie Quark

Alan Rockefeller and Mandie Quark are two passionate and accomplished mycologists dedicated to advancing the field of fungi research. Alan, an expert in fungal microscopy, has photographed over 2,500 species in the wild and identified more than a million fungi online. Mandie, a molecular mycologist and science writer, specializes in fungal DNA sequencing and communication. As co-founders of Mycena, they document rare fungi worldwide. Together, Alan and Mandie bring decades of expertise to their students, inspiring the next generation of mycologists and community scientists.
