Join us for the full two weeks or opt for just one week for a shorter immersion. This isn’t just a trip, it’s a full-on biodiversity bonanza led by a dream team: three mycologists, a botanist, a herpetologist, and vibrant local experts who bring the forest to life with every step. Two Trips to Peru in 2026

In 2026 we will be hosting two unforgettable adventures in Peru! Fifteen participants will join us Feb 24- March 5th for an immersion in the stunning biodiversity of the cloud forests of Oxapampa, in a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Then, participants will step into history with us as we embark on the iconic Inca Trail, March 6th-15th with only 8 participants. Join us on a bus tour and journey to trek ancient paths and rediscover Psilocybe collybiodes, culminating in a visit to one of the seven wonders of the world, Machu Picchu. Both trips promise culture, nature, and exploration like never before—don’t miss your chance to join us on these remarkable journeys!

Peru Trip 1: Cloud Forest Foray

Feb 24th - March 5th

We’re not just stopping in Ecuador this time — February calls us to Peru! Come with us to explore some of the last truly wild, untouched ecosystems where the Andes spill down into the thick, roiling Amazon basin. Nestled inside a UNESCO biosphere reserve, this trip is a biodiversity deep dive, with chances to find mind-blowing fungi, rare plants, and shy mammals, all while kicking back at the cozy and gorgeous Cemayu Lodge.

This region contains some of the last remaining undisturbed primary forest ecosystems in the central jungles of Peru. Hang out with amazing mycologists, awesome local guides, and a crew of fellow nature nerds, diving headfirst into Peruvian nature, culture, and science. Expect epic hikes through vibrant cloud forests, secret spots bursting with rare species, and hands-on workshops where you’ll learn to ID fungi, run DNA sequencing in the field, and capture the perfect nature shot.

This trip is your front-row ticket to the wild and wonderful web of life in one of the planet’s most insanely diverse ecosystems. Dive headfirst into Revolución Fungi Fest, geek out on iNaturalist data, and get hands-on with real ecological detective work. We’ll be chasing down rare critters like spectacled bears and harpy eagles, and maybe catch sight of some rare endemic frogs. And oh yes, we are expecting to stumble upon fungi so fresh they probably haven’t even been named yet, plus orchids in endless, dazzling variety. Whether you’re a pro scientist or just hopelessly obsessed with nature’s magic, this foray is a pure, unfiltered immersion into a biological wonderland, and it will blow your mind.

Peru Trip 2: Peaks and Pathways Tour

March 6th-15th

For those ready to keep the adventure rolling, we’re gearing up for an exclusive, intimate Inca Trail experience from March 6th to 15th, with only eight spots open—talk about a close-knit crew! We’re not just trekking; we’re diving deep into history, walking the legendary paths of the Inca, reconnecting with ancient trails that have held secrets for centuries. The star of this show? The iconic Psilocybe collybiodes, a mushroom steeped in mystery and tradition, awaiting rediscovery.

This isn’t your typical tourist trek—along the way, we’ll hop off the beaten path in small towns scattered along the trail, soaking up local vibes, swapping stories with residents, and leaning into the living culture that breathes life into these mountains. Then, the grand finale: Machu Picchu. One of the seven wonders of the world, this ancient citadel is nothing short of awe-inspiring, a place where history, spirituality, and breathtaking beauty collide. Lace up your boots and join us for a journey packed full of discovery, camaraderie, and a heavy dose of wonder.

The Peaks and Pathways Tour is COMING SOON… We will post the details in early December, exclusively to our Newsletter first. STAY TUNED!
